Samarra University Welcomes Ministerial Committee for Establishing a Master’s Program in Electromechanical Engineering
The Dean of the College of Engineering at Samarra University, Assistant Professor Dr. Amjad Saleh Mahmoud, welcomed the ministerial committee assigned to assess the requirements for establishing a master’s program in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering.
The committee was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Tahseen Ahmed Tahseen from Kirkuk University, with members including Assistant Professor Dr. Munsar Eidi Sharif from Northern Technical University, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jawad Mohammed from the University of Technology, and Assistant Professor Dr. Muhannad Jabbar Munati from Middle Technical University.
The committee conducted an on-site evaluation of the department’s academic and laboratory capabilities by touring the college’s laboratories and classrooms. They also discussed the necessary requirements for launching the program, including infrastructure, qualified academic staff, and the extent to which these elements align with established scientific and research standards.
For his part, the Dean of the College presented the proposed master’s curriculum in Electromechanical Engineering, highlighting its alignment with modern advancements in the field and the demands of the job market.
The committee members commended the college’s academic and human resources, emphasizing the importance of enhancing scientific research and continuous development in engineering disciplines. They underscored the role of specialized expertise in meeting the needs of industrial and technological development in the country.
Additionally, the committee expressed its appreciation for the evident efforts in advancing the college and its departments, as well as the ambition to expand research opportunities for scholars in engineering fields.
