University of Samarra Rector Meets via Video Link with a Tech Company to Study Digital Transformation

Prof. Dr. Sabah Allawi al-Samarraie, Rector of the University of Samarra, held an extensive meeting via video conference with the company implementing the digital transformation system at the Imam Al-Adham University College, to study the possibility of implementing a comprehensive automation system at the university.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Government Media and Communications Department, the Assistant Director of the Electronic Computer Center, and the University’s Automation Officer, for the purpose of discussing topics related to the system.

The program designer demonstrated the system’s contents and its general details, including administrative and financial systems and their management for both employees and faculty members, in addition to student affairs and the management of their files and administrative and financial requirements.

For his part, the University Rector expressed his satisfaction with the technology used to design the program and the integration of its components, in a way that serves the educational, administrative, and financial processes, as well as its role in achieving the greatest possible service for the university staff and students.

In the same context, al-Samarraie added that digital transformation provides speed in execution, a reduction in wasted time, a limitation of errors, and a decrease in printing expenses.

It is worth noting that this step comes within the University Rectorship plan seeking digital transformations in all administrative and financial aspects, in line with the Ministry’s plan and the Prime Minister’s vision to automate state institutions.
