College of Islamic Sciences
It is one of the University of Samarra colleges, established on 10/10/2010, was opened with two departments:
1- Department of Religion Fundamentals
2- Department of Islamic Sharia
The college has set out in its plan to create other departments, namely the department of Islamic financial and banking transactions and the department of comparing religions. The college is also proceeding in opening a scientific journal and counseling fiqh and economic research offices; there is in the college a scientific promotions committee, a specialized staff from holders of scientific titles. Also, the college contains a library with an extensive collection of essential and diverse sources and references.
The college has recently held many conferences, seminars, and various developmental courses in the context of continuing education.
In addition to that, the college prepared a plan to develop it scientifically, humanly and financially, it is proceeding with its realization, in terms of applying quality standards and university performance as directed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
