Vision
The department is Commitment by Iraqi legislation, laws, regulations, and instructions to ensure the sobriety of the institution and preserve the rights of employees.
the message
It is deepening the legal culture of university members, spreading discipline, protecting(secure) rights, and knowing the duties that would develop the university and maximize its sobriety.
Objectives
For an educational and perfect institution that commitment by-laws and want to apply in all, it’s principal and subsidiary joints.
Rights and Litigation Division
It is concerned with the legal representation of the university before the competent courts and all state institutions.
Rights and Guarantees Division
The task of this division is to draft contracts for contractors and daily procedures at the university and organize guarantees for scholarships and other assurances.
Property Division
The task of this division is to follow up on the immovable property belonging to the university.
Legal Consulting Division
The most important tasks of this division are to provide legal advice to all university colleges and all its departments and respond to (legal inquiries received to the department)
Besides, the department set up specialized courses for university employees in coordination with the Center of Continuing Education, most notably:
1- Functions of the legal units in colleges
2- Lectures are explaining the application of essential laws such as the Law for Discipline State and Public Sector Employees No. (14) for the year 1991 amending, and the Law for Selling and Renting State Funds No. (21) for the year 2013.
3- The duties of the legal member in the investigative committees and preparing their minutes.
