Vision

The College of Education and the Division of Graduate Studies believe that the basis for the renaissance and progress of countries, especially our country, Iraq, is based on scientific and technological progress. In order to contribute to achieve this progress, the college seeks to develop curricula, use modern teaching and educational methods, keep up the scientific and technological development, provide the appropriate infrastructure for that, develop teaching, technical and administrative cadres, develop students’ capabilities, and cooperate with parallel colleges, state institutions and the private sector, doing all of this in order to Contribute in the progression of the country and the development of society and reach the ranks of serious international colleges

The message

The College of Education and the Division of Postgraduate Studies adopt an ambitious message to achieve its goals by preparing qualified graduates who have the skills and information in various disciplines of human and pure sciences, chemistry, life sciences, history, Arabic language, geography, and the sciences of the Holy Qur’an, which qualifies them to work in the state’s scientific, educational and research institutions and to serve issues of the society. The college seeks to keep up with the latest developments in curricula, educational methods, and research trends in the various fields of education

Objectives :

The College of Education and the Division of Postgraduate Studies generally aim to graduate students with master’s and doctorate degrees in education, which includes chemistry, life sciences, Quranic sciences, Arabic language, history and geography, to work in various state or private sector institutions whether the educational, research, scientific and service one. The college also aims to make society and development issues take advantage of scientific knowledge and skills, and to strengthen ties between the university and academic institutions on the one hand, and community foundations on the other. The details of these goals can be included in the following axes:

First: The objectives of the curriculum for the master’s degree:

Providing students with advanced information for education.

Familiarizing students with the latest research trends in various sciences to keep up with the accelerated development in science and technology.

Enhancing students’ skills in giving lectures, discussion and scientific dialogue.

Develop students’ skills in dealing with modern software.

Improving the level of students in the English language by incorporating English language lessons.

imparting master’s students with the skills of dealing with information and communication technology.

Develop students’ ability in logical analysis and deduction.

Providing master’s students with the foundations, contexts and conditions of scientific research.

Providing students with advanced experimental skills that can be applied in practice.

Employing master’s students’ research to serve community issues and the needs of state institutions.

Preparing master’s graduates who are able to complete doctoral studies inside or outside the country.

Supplying the state’s academic and industrial institutions and scientific centers with researchers in various humanities and pure sciences such as chemistry, life sciences, Arabic language, history, Quranic sciences and geography.

Second: Objectives of the PhD curriculum:

Providing students with advanced information for pure and human sciences.

Familiarizing students with the latest research trends in various sciences to keep up with the rapid development in science and technology.

Enhancing students’ skills in giving lectures, discussion and scientific dialogue.

Develop students’ skills in dealing with modern software.

Improving the level of students in the English language through studying the English language and by teaching most of the academic subjects in the English language.

Seeking to employ the college’s research in promoting development projects.

Providing scientific advice to state institutions.

Seeking to involve the college’s advanced staff in scientific committees with various state institutions.

Establishing continuing education courses for employees of state departments.

Attempting to provide recommendations to solve problems that may face the society.
