Legal Section
The legal division in the Faculty of Education is represented by employees who hold a bachelor’s degree in law. It provides opinion and legal advice to the deanship of the Faculty and the rest of the departments regarding legal problems.
Section tasks
▪ Expressing legal advice and opinion.
▪ Organizing the legal representation mechanism to plead and defend the Faculty’s rights before the courts.
▪ Responsible for claiming Faculty dues from third parties and following them up according to legal bases.
▪ Organizing sponsorship work for all students.
▪ Following-up the legal procedures related to the auctions, including the organization and drafting of contracts and follow up on their implementation and signature by both parties.
▪ Participation in the work of the investigation committees within the Faculty regarding the perpetrators of administrative, financial and social violations after issuing special administrative orders to form these investigation committees.
▪ Ensuring the implementation and realization of regulations, laws, and instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, following them up, diagnosing defects and deficiencies in their application, and submitting recommendations in this regard to the Administrative Assistant.
▪ Providing legal advice to clarify legal texts or to express a legal opinion on a relevant issue for any administrative unit in the Faculty.
▪ Drafting contracts and supervising auctions for renting public property belonging to the Faculty.
▪ Supervising the follow-up of some legal transactions related to the Faculty in some governmental departments, with the authorization of the Dean.
▪ Signing and stamping legal transactions and pledges with powers delegated by the university presidency
▪ Following-up the lessors and beneficiaries of the Faculty’s property (clubs, garages, etc. belonging to the Faculty), and monitors any violation of their work according to the contract concluded between them, and submits its recommendations to hold them accountable.
▪ Attending and participating in seminars and courses related to the legal aspect to raise the efficiency of the work of the legal units in the Faculty and follow up on relevant developments.
