Physics Department Concludes Interviews for First-Stage Admitted Students for the Academic Year 2025–2026

The Physics Department has concluded the work of the interview committees for students admitted to the first stage for the academic year 2025–2026. These interviews aimed to assess a range of fundamental aspects that constitute a cornerstone for students’ success in their future academic and professional careers.

The department explained that the interviews were not limited to traditional academic evaluation; rather, they also included an assessment of students’ psychological and personal aspects, ensuring their readiness to meet the requirements of the Physics specialization and the teaching profession, in line with the nature of the scientific and laboratory challenges imposed by this field.

In this context, the interview committees adopted a specialized questionnaire to evaluate four main dimensions, including emotional stability and responsibility, by measuring students’ ability to manage pressure and deal with difficult situations, in addition to integrity and accountability for the consequences of mistakes. The evaluation also covered self-confidence and effective communication, by assessing students’ ability to articulate their motivations for choosing the specialization and to explain scientific concepts confidently.

In turn, the department affirmed that these procedures are part of the implementation of the standards of the National Council for the Accreditation of Programs of Colleges of Education, particularly the Student Standard, and reflect the college’s commitment to attracting a distinguished group of students who possess not only academic excellence but also the personal and professional maturity required to excel in the Physics specialization at the College of Education.
