The Department of Chemistry Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Exploring Job Opportunities Outside the Government Sector

The Department of Chemistry at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a scientific seminar entitled “Searching for Job Opportunities Away from Government Employment”, presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Taysir Abdul Qader Salih and Assistant Professor Sarah Saad Mohammed Jawad.

The seminar aimed to explore job opportunities outside the government sector by benefiting from electronic platforms and professional networks in the job search process, in addition to guiding young people toward targeting the private sector and startup companies.

On the other hand, Jawad emphasized the necessity of developing young people’s skills in line with the requirements of remote jobs, particularly in the fields of customer service and digital marketing, which enhances the culture of working in the private sector.

In conclusion, Salih stressed the importance of building a professional network through friends and acquaintances, as well as attending job fairs, as effective means of accessing diverse job opportunities in private companies and institutions, in addition to freelance and self-employment projects.
