The College of Agriculture at Samarra University Successfully Conducts its First Experiment in Cultivating White and Brown Agaricus Mushrooms
In a scientific achievement added to the record of the College of Agriculture at Samarra University, the college successfully conducted its first experiment in cultivating white and brown Agaricus mushrooms. This experiment was part of the graduation research projects of fourth-year students in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering.
This scientific experiment was supervised by:

The experiment was completed successfully, with the first batch of mushrooms being harvested. This reflects the efficiency of the research and applied work conducted by the college’s students and confirms the potential for mushroom cultivation as a promising field in local agricultural production.
The work was also monitored on-site by the Head of the Horticulture and Landscape Engineering Department, Lecturer Ghassan Zaid Mreif, who commended the efforts of the students and supervisors, emphasizing the importance of such applied research in bridging the gap between theory and practice.
This achievement comes with the direct sponsorship and support of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Khaled Abdullah Al-Sahr, who continues to support scientific and research activities and is keen to develop students’ skills and encourage them in innovation and scientific research.
