The Studies and Planning Division Organizes a Specialized Workshop on University Statistical Systems
The Studies and Planning Division at the College of Education for Pure Sciences – University of Samarra, in cooperation with the Studies and Planning Department at the University Presidency, organized a specialized workshop entitled:
“Academic and Technical University Statistics for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies and Mechanisms for Handling Them Through Scientific Departments.”
The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Omar Ibrahim Ahmed, Head of the Studies and Planning Department, and Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Jaber Mutaib, with the attendance of a number of representatives from scientific departments and staff concerned with statistical affairs.
The presenters aimed to explain the mechanisms for organizing and auditing data of morning-study students, contributing to the establishment of accurate and reliable databases, in addition to introducing the approved technical standards for processing statistics of evening-study students.
The lecturers also focused on managing postgraduate data in a way that ensures the accuracy of academic and research outputs, unifying statistical procedures among scientific departments, and emphasizing the importance of university statistics in supporting planning and institutional decision-making.
The workshop concluded with an emphasis on the necessity of adhering to approved standards in data entry and processing, and on strengthening cooperation between scientific departments and the Studies and Planning Division to enhance the quality of statistical work at the college and university levels.
