Department of Physics Organizes a Seminar on Equilibrium Physics and Combating Extremism

The Department of Physics at the College of Education for Pure Sciences – University of Samarra organized a seminar entitled “Equilibrium Physics and Combating Violent Extremism.” The seminar was delivered by Dr. Suad Sabah Hussein and Assistant Lecturer Nawfal Abdulrahman Hamoud, in implementation of the directives issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University Presidency.

The seminar aimed to examine social phenomena through a specialized academic perspective, transforming natural laws into equations for peaceful coexistence by linking equilibrium physics with balanced thinking, which is considered a fundamental pillar in building society.

The lecturers explained that extremism generates an excessive ideological charge that drives individuals to leave the orbit of society, threatening the stability of the public order and leading to a state of imbalance.

The seminar concluded with a set of recommendations, most notably: avoiding verbal violence and the exclusion of others, activating the role of dialogue and patience, steering away from hostile tensions, and enhancing education and awareness, which prevent society’s descent into extremism.
