The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Agriculture, Samarra University, celebrated International Women’s Day with an awareness activity highlighting the pivotal role women play in building future generations and developing society.
The activity included a presentation on the importance of women’s role in raising children and shaping their personalities from the earliest stages of life. Women are considered the cornerstone in instilling values and good morals such as honesty, respect, cooperation, and a love of learning. The presentation also highlighted women’s contributions to guiding their children towards education and knowledge acquisition, which helps develop their abilities and prepare them to face life’s challenges.
The activity also demonstrated that women’s role is not limited to raising children within the family, but extends to active participation in education, work, and community service. This makes them positive role models who contribute to building a strong and cohesive society and enhance the ability of future generations to contribute to progress and development.
This activity was presented by Assistant Teacher Tulin Khalid Ibrahim and Assistant Teacher Alaa Jassim Ali. The event also included an awards ceremony where the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Khalid Abdullah Al-Sahr, presented certificates of appreciation to a faculty member and a staff member in recognition of their efforts and contributions to the academic institution.
