An Introductory Workshop on Human Personality Types at the College of Agriculture
The College of Agriculture at Samarra University organized an introductory workshop on human personality types as part of its ongoing efforts to develop students’ personal skills and enhance their self-awareness.
The workshop addressed the concept of personality types, emphasizing that each individual has a unique style of thinking and behavior, which is reflected in how they deal with different situations and others. The four basic personality types were reviewed: the leadership type, characterized by assertiveness and decision-making; the social type, characterized by dynamism and interaction; the calm type, known for patience and cooperation; and the analytical type, which relies on precision and logical thinking.
The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Afrah Ibrahim Saleh and Assistant Lecturer Tayba Muhammad Ali, who explained the importance of understanding these types in improving communication skills and building more balanced and effective relationships both within and outside the educational environment. The workshop also emphasized that a person’s personality is often a combination of several types, with a dominant type that distinguishes each individual, thus contributing to enhanced self-understanding and acceptance of others.
This workshop is part of a series of scientific and developmental activities that the College of Agriculture is keen to organize, with the aim of developing students’ abilities and refining their personal skills, thereby fostering a positive academic environment based on mutual understanding and respect.
