The Department of English at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Samarra, held its regular meeting chaired by Professor Dr. Yasser Mohammed Saleh, Head of the Department, with the attendance of the faculty members.

The attendees discussed a number of academic and administrative issues related to the progress of the educational process. Emphasis was placed on submitting the coursework (continuous assessment records) in their final form within a period not exceeding one week, and on following up the fourth-year research projects according to the specified timelines under precise academic supervision.

The meeting also approved the preparation of three models of final examination questions along with three corresponding model answers for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies, in accordance with the approved regulations. Additionally, regulations governing the granting of leave to faculty members were approved, limiting leave to emergency cases only until the end of the examinations.

Furthermore, the participants reviewed the mechanism for preparing the competitive examination questions for postgraduate studies, as well as setting the necessary arrangements to ensure the readiness of examination committees and the distribution of tasks among them to guarantee smooth workflow.

In conclusion, Saleh emphasized the importance of completing the visits of student teachers (interns) in accordance with administrative orders, while also following up on students with pending courses and granting them an additional opportunity to take the exam in order to complete the requirements of the annual assessment.
