Chemistry Department Organizes a Training Course on Scientific Publishing in Scopus-Indexed Journals

The Department of Chemistry at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, University of Samarra, organized a training course entitled “How to Publish in Scopus-Indexed Databases”, with the participation of a number of researchers and faculty members.

The course aimed to introduce the mechanisms of high-quality scientific publishing in journals indexed in Scopus, explain the standards and criteria for selecting suitable scientific journals, and highlight effective ways to improve research quality in accordance with international publishing requirements.

Dr. Bakr Ismail Jasim discussed the fundamentals of scholarly publishing and the key considerations for publishing in reputable Scopus-indexed journals.

Assistant Lecturer Doaa Abdulrazzaq Hussein presented the most important scientific publishing strategies, methods of dealing with academic publishers and peer-reviewed journals, as well as the major challenges faced by researchers and ways to overcome them.

The course concluded with a presentation by Assistant Lecturer Ehab Mohammed Ali, who highlighted the essential requirements of academic publishing and the role of reputable scientific journals in enhancing research quality and improving the academic ranking of educational institutions.
