An Overview:

This department is one of the important departments that participates profoundly in designing the general strategic policies of the college. The department was initiated in 2013, And it took upon itself to implement all the programs that lead to the achievement of total quality management, and one of its most important goals is the continuous pursuit to ensure and improve the quality of university education.

The department began to spread the education of quality, and awareness of the importance of applying evaluation programs among all employees of the College of Education in addition to students, so that this thought became one of the work axes within all the college formations. Training programs that contribute to the application of quality assurance mechanisms and participation in preparing a description of the administrative functions of the college have been prepared and followed up. The department ensures the quality of study programs and develops the performance of the educational and research process. All documents and evidence of applied practices are available in the Quality Assurance Division to manage quality activities in the college, with the help of the support provided by the college administration.

The Objectives and the strategic directions of the Department of Quality Assurance of College of Education

The plans, goals and strategic directions of the Quality Assurance Department stem from the philosophy of the college. This philosophy is based on drawing its future vision and strategic mission to the extent of contributing to achieving its goals, through the adoption of a set of procedures to achieve consistency with the institutional work approach in the college, and this is done through the following:

  1. Preparing a solid ground for a good educational environment through the application of quality and accreditation standards of the Ministry of Higher Education.
  2. Preparing a database for evaluating the staff of the College of Education based on evaluation forms for leaders, faculty and staff, and the college calendar file.
  3. Work to achieve communication in the field of education through various university activities and encourage the process of scientific research by organizing, establishing and attending conferences, seminars and workshops on quality to find out the latest scientific developments.
  4.  Working on directing the educational process in the college towards the use of modern means and methods to raise the distinguished level of students and providing them with assistance to overcome the problems that hinder their success.
  5. Upgrading the college’s performance and enhancing its scientific capabilities at all levels by ensuring its implementation of accreditation systems and standards and national quality assurance approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which are consistent with the standards of accreditation organizations in developed countries.
  6. Disseminating the education of quality assurance in the college to reach local and regional academic accreditation, and working to urge all scientific departments and college formations to apply the standards of international accreditation organizations through joining and linking with internationally known accreditation organizations, according to the specialization of each of them.
  7. Continuous improvement of the scientific levels of and administrative performance for all employees and for all activities, operations and jobs in the college with a deep belief in the professionalism, responsibility and creativity of each member to work in the spirit of one team.

Quality Assurance Division: The Division of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation is structurally and administratively linked to the Dean of the College. Technically, the Quality Department at the University Presidency consists of five sections:

  1.  Quality Assurance section.
  2.  Laboratory Quality section
  3.  Training and Technical Support section.
  4.  Performance evaluation section.
  5.  Occupational Health and Safety section and Environmental Preservation
