Scientific Promotions Unit

The Scientific Promotions Unit is concerned with following up on the eligibility of the teaching staff (Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer, Assistant Professor) for scientific promotion, according to the regulations and instructions in force.

Promotions section tasks

▪ Receiving the scientific promotion (that meets the conditions).

▪ Checking the requirements for obtaining the promotion (time period, table requirements, paper and electronic fetching, approval of the scientific committee in the department …. etc.)

▪ Sending research to scientific residents (when necessary).

▪ Discussing the approval of full promotion transactions by the Academic Promotion Committee in the college.

▪ Sending the minutes of the Promotion Committee meeting to the College Council for approval, according to the applicable administrative contexts.

▪ Sending the promotion documents to the Central Academic Promotion Committee at the university (after the approval of the College Council).

▪ Discussing the approval of promotion transactions by the Central Academic Promotion Committee at the university.

▪ Discussing the approval of promotion transactions by the University Council

Following-up on the issuance of university orders for promotions.
