The launch of the new website for Iraqi academic journals

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the launch of the Iraqi Academic Journals website (https://iasj.net) on the international network that includes recognized scientific journals issued by universities and academic institutions.

The Department of Research and Development stated that this national project for indexing the Iraqi research and scientific output, which was launched in a manner consistent with the international standard formula, includes more than 169,000 full-text papers from 293 journals issued by 67 academic and scientific institutions.

This scientific achievement comes in the context of the efforts and programs approved by the Research and Development Department in light of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s plan for digital transformation, which will include adding features that enable researchers to submit research electronically through a comprehensive platform for all Iraqi journals in a coordinated and integrated manner.

It is worth noting that the creation of such indexes will contribute to indexing the Iraqi research output within the global containers, raising the level of scientific research, and showing it in a global fashion. It will also increase the chances of citing Iraqi researches around the world.
