The President of the University of Samarra met with the Deans associates of the colleges, in the presence of Dr. Kamal Hussein, Vice President for Scientific Affairs, on Sunday 6-9-2020.
The meeting focused on activating the mechanism of work of the colleges from both an administrative and scientific point of view, and the discussion began about the university cleaning campaign that was held before the start of the current academic year, and stressed that this campaign continues and the follow-up will be daily by the presidency, as well as the need to quickly accomplish the work of the people Scientific and administrative matters relating to students and auditors, as well as statistics and documentation. He announced that Iraqi universities today live in a big race to prove the status and presence of Iraqi universities in the global academic and scientific scene, not just the Arab.
He president pointed out precisely the importance of the scientific assistants concerning research issues, seminars and conferences, as well as the follow-up of departments to emphasize professors about the research aspect and the need to publish in journals that contain global containers, as well as motivate distinguished students and qualify them to write research and publish it in international journals.
At the end of the meeting, he listened to the opinions of the assistants regarding research and publishing issues, and he directed them to prepare plans for the next academic year 2020-2021 to follow up and implement these plans to overcome the difficulties related to logistical matters that contribute to raising the research level of university professors and students.
