International participation

The Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Prof. Dr. Nazhan Muhammad Al-Sahw, participated in the third international scientific conference in administrative and financial sciences organized by Cihan University in Erbil and Warsaw University of biology in Poland on 7, and 8/4/2021, where his joint research was accepted, tagged: The Contribution of Renewable Energy Economics to Sustainable Development ”.
The conference witnessed the attendance and active participation of the scholarly leaders from Iraq, Egypt, Qatar, England, Poland, and various countries of the world.
It is worth noting that the research in which Alsahoo has participated is summarized in:
(Renewable energy plays a major role in achieving sustainable development by employing energy revenues in financing development projects and providing the energy required for the activity of economic sectors).
The research aims to learn about the economics of renewable energy, its sources, and how to use it and invest it in a better way so that it is sustainable and environmentally friendly sources.
The most important conclusions:

1- The renewable energy strategy, which includes setting up programs and policies aimed at promoting the production and use of renewable energy in this field includes, the possibility of investing in solar and wind energy in addition to water resources.
2- Sustainable development means providing a livable environment for future generations by minimizing the harms of the race towards economic and technological growth.
3- Solar energy is the only energy so far that is a candidate to replace fossil fuels in electricity production and to ensure a sustainable environment.

Also, the most important recommendations are: –
1- Every country must green its economy according to its environmental and economic conditions and choose priority sectors according to those circumstances.
2- Countries of the world should increase their investments in renewable energy such as solar and wind energy and reduce the use of non-renewable resources such as fossil fuels to ensure a more sustainable environment.
3- Defining environmentally harmful production and consumption sectors to impose taxes and fees on their activities.
4- Benefiting from the experiences of the pioneering countries in the field of sustainable economic development and renewable energies.
