The University of Samarra – Archeology, and Education gather in a lecture for graduate students

 

Within the framework of the cooperation between colleges, a joint lecture was collected between the colleges of archaeology and education at the University of Samarra and titled (manuscript card) for masters students (for the Department of History)

This lecture included many of the scientific and technical foundations used in the science of verifying archaeological and heritage manuscripts.
The lecture was divided into two parts, which Prof. Dr. Qassem Hassan from the College of Education.

Validate the name of the manuscript as mentioned on the title page if the title page found, and to make sure of it, refer to the introduction to the manuscript with a careful reading, and sometimes mentions the name of the author, or mentions that he completed another book, it is necessary to refer to the sources that document the name of the manuscript.
(Number of sheets – number of lines – number of words – page size – paper type – page size), laboratory technical matters useful in knowing the manuscript’s age if it is lost, completing the manuscript if it is scattered, arranging the pages, and knowing the author through his style if the author’s name is lost.
It is worth mentioning that the cooperation between the two professors in the field of manuscript investigation and its general foundations was not new.
They had previously met in giving many scientific lectures to achieve the maximum benefit that a graduate student could exploit.
