The University of Samarra in Scimago Ranking

 

Remarkable and distinguished progress added to the qualitative leaps that Samarra University has shown over the past two years; the President of Samarra University, Professor Dr. Sabah Alawi Al-Samarrai, announced today that Samarra University entered the Scimago classification for the first time since its founding.
And sequentially 37 locally in the latest classification report
The Ministry of Higher Education announced the news of the entry of some Iraqi universities into this classification, indicating its importance and what this classification indicates of clear distinction in the wheel of Iraqi scientific research.

This step for the University of Samarra is one of the most important and distinguished scientific steps. The primary criterion for this classification is scientific research, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
This came after vigorous follow-up by all the university administration
The President of the University praised the distinguished researchers at the university and the members of the Academic Documentation Unit and other affiliates for their diligent and outstanding work.
It is worth noting that the Scimago ranking is based on a composite index that combines three different criteria based on research performance (50%), innovation output (30%), and societal impact (20%). Each primary indicator includes sub-indicators such as the number of papers published, the quality of journals printed, the number of citations and relative impact factors, and requirements related to the publication of at least 100 articles in the SCOPUS database within the year of the evaluation.
