A patent at Samarra University on manufacturing two vaccines against a parasite

A research team from the College of Applied Sciences at the University of Samarra obtained a patent for manufacturing two vaccines against a parasite.
The patent included knowing the effect of outer membrane proteins (O – Antigen) OMPs and capsular polysaccharides (K – Antigen) extracted from Klebsiella pneumonia bacteria on induction of immune response in New Zealand white rabbits against infection with the parasite Entamoeba histolytica that causes amoebic dysentery.
These antigens are effective immunomodulators to stimulate natural and acquired immunity against infection with amoebic dysentery and can also be used as initiators to prepare targeted vaccines against this parasite.
