Symposium in the dormitories at the University of Samarra, explaining the steps of occupational safety
The Department of Internal Affairs at Samarra University held a symposium on occupational safety and how to deal with types of fires, which took place in cooperation with the Civil Defense Center in Samarra.
The symposium, delivered by Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Diaa and Deputy Officer Kilani Ayyash in the Continuing Education Hall, aims to introduce the methods used by the Civil Defense Center, how to deal with fires and their problems, and the methods used to limit the spread of fire and prevent it from spreading to human lives and material property.
The symposium dealt with a practical explanation of how to use fire extinguishers and firefighting during sudden accidents and emergencies, as well as defining the types of fire extinguishers and the function of using every kind with the fire that suits it.
The symposium was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Raad Sarhan Ibrahim – Director – of the Dormitories Department at Samarra University, Mr. Civil Defense Department official and department staff, Mr. Supervision Division official, and Mr. Civil Defense Unit official in the department.
