Samarra University students characterized in the Second Scientific Olympiad at the University of Basra

 

 

Two students from the Chemistry Department of the College of Education at Samarra University have qualified for the finals of the Second Scientific Olympiad organized by the Department of Scientific Affairs at the Presidency of the University of Basra, with the participation of 101 students from various Iraqi and Arab universities, for both master’s and bachelor’s levels.

Master’s student Ahmed Khalef Saleh achieved third place in the Olympiad for his research entitled “Hybrid Adsorption-Membrane System for Water and Wastewater Treatment,” while fourth-year bachelor’s student Abdulmajeed Ghazi gained 18th place for his paper entitled “Preparation of a Nanofilter for Purification of Polluted Water,” after fierce scientific competition with the participating students.

It is worth mentioning that this achievement came with the support and guidance of Dr. Sabah Alawi Al-Samarrai (President of Samarra University).
