Dean of the College of Administration and Economics Participates in the Sustainable University Week Activities at University of Samarra
Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdul Salam Ahmed, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, participated in the activities of the Sustainable University Week, which was held under the patronage of the President of the University of Samarra, Professor Dr. Sabah Alawi Khalaf, as part of the university’s efforts to promote the concepts of sustainable development and strengthen environmental awareness culture.
These activities aim to highlight the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), encourage environmentally friendly practices, and support scientific initiatives that contribute to addressing current environmental challenges and building a more sustainable future in Iraq.
The week also witnessed the launch of the Sustainable Energy Week, organized by the university in cooperation with its various colleges. The event included a range of scientific and awareness-raising activities focusing on sustainability and energy-related issues, in addition to organizing a large-scale tree-planting campaign in the university gardens to support the green environment and enhance its sustainability.
The activities were attended by a number of academic staff members, employees, and individuals interested in environmental affairs, reflecting the growing societal awareness of the importance of participating in such vital initiatives.
