University of Samarra issues its five-year strategic plan 2026-2031
The Department of Studies and Planning at the Rectorship of the University of Samarra has issued the five-year strategic plan 2026-2031 for the University of Samarra and all its formations, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sabah Alawi Khalaf (Rector of the University) and direct follow-up by Prof. Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed (Vice Rector For Scientific Affairs ).
The plan consisted of short, medium, and long-term levels, including organized planning and good governance, resource direction, and presenting the basic pillars of the strategic vision and its implementation pathways across the designated timeframes.
From an academic perspective, the planning included the admission plan for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the university\’s colleges, according to capacity and expansion, and the mechanism for building academic capabilities of the university\’s staff.
In an exclusive interview with the Media and Government Communication Department, Assist. Lect. Omar Ibrahim Ahmed (Director of the Department of Studies and Planning) stated that the strategic plan for the University of Samarra and its formations has been drawn up according to the general vision, achieving the goals that the university\’s top administration seeks, while granting some flexibility in working within the short-term plan according to emergent updates.
