Physics department is one of the important scientific departments in the College of Education, which began in the 2015-2016 academic year. It offers distinguished educational programs that comply with quality standards and meet the requirements of the labor market. It aims to provide scientifically and professionally qualified human competencies to meet the needs of development plans in the country and to qualify scientifically and professionally specialized staff in the field of physics.

There are five laboratories for preliminary studies in the Department of Physics. Each laboratory can accommodate about twenty-five students. All of these laboratories are furnished with laboratory furniture and contain some laboratory equipment such as an oscilloscope, a power supply, a voltmeter, an ammeter, a Kicker counter, in addition to a box of resistors and capacitors, and a miniature transformer.

- Mechanical Laboratory: This laboratory is dedicated to first-stage students, in which students are trained on how to interpret physical theories in a practical way and some applications such as finding the speed of sound in practice, finding the viscosity coefficient in practice, and clarifying the idea of free fall of bodies in practice. §
- Electrical Laboratory: This laboratory provides experiment. This will enable the student to interpret electrical laws through practice on laboratory experiments, where he is able in practice to understand and apply the mechanism of DC and alternating current work, the ability of lamps in electrical circuits and the mechanism of work of the transformer. Electrical (hoist and hoist) and other applications.
- The optics laboratory: It is intended for students of the second stage, where students are trained on some experiments, including finding the refractive index of light, clarifying the idea of concave and convex mirrors, and applying some other experiments to find the focal length, reflection, refraction and diffraction.
- Electronics Laboratory: This laboratory provides experiments based on high technology in which third-stage students learn to connect electronic circuits and identify their contents such as resistance, capacitance, transistor, and diode, in addition to training students on the oscilloscope in detail and linking some complex electronic circuits.
- Nuclear Laboratory: In this laboratory, many experiences are learned for fourth-stage students, in which students are trained on personal safety from the dangers of dealing with radioactive elements, finding the radioactive background in the workplace and others, and how to deal with a Kicker counter, in addition to enabling students to find the inverse square law, the distribution law, understanding the mechanism of diffusion and dispersion, and finding the count values for each radioactive element. This laboratory contains a small cemetery of lead in which the radioactive elements are kept to protect the teaching staff and students.
