High-Level Coordination Between the College of Engineering and the Engineering Committee for the Law of Samarra as the Capital of Islamic Civilization in Iraq

Assistant Professor Dr. Amjed Saleh Mahmood, Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Samarra, received Eng. Ziyad Ahmed Al-Ali, Head of the Engineering Committee for the Law of Samarra as the Capital of Islamic Civilization in Iraq. The meeting was attended by Assistant Professor Mohammed Abdul-Jabbar Hassan, the Administrative Assistant to the Dean.

The meeting included an extensive discussion of the plans for the engineering and developmental projects currently underway as part of the Samarra city development project, with a focus on the anticipated projects within the College of Engineering.

The Dean affirmed that the College of Engineering, with its academic expertise and specialized competencies, is an essential and active partner in supporting these projects, stressing that academic engineering supervision represents the true guarantor for successful implementation and achieving the desired developmental objectives.

At the same time, he clarified that the College places all its scientific and consultative capabilities at the service of the city and its institutions, stemming from its leading role in developing the urban environment and raising the level of engineering performance of governmental projects.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the Dean accompanied the Committee Head, the Resident Engineer, the engineers from the Resident Engineer’s department, and the engineers from the executing company on a tour to inspect the University buildings that were recently constructed, and to visit the Construction and Projects Department. The goal was to study the issues that accompanied previous implementation and to develop the work process to ensure that future buildings in the College of Engineering appear in a manner commensurate with their intended function.

For his part, the Committee Head praised the continuous level of cooperation with the College of Engineering, affirming that this constructive coordination contributes to overcoming obstacles and enhancing the quality of implementation, in line with the state’s vision for improving the city’s infrastructure according to the highest technical and engineering standards.
