The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb, confirmed that the claimants of appointments are not redundant, but rather are victims of the accumulated poor planning in investing energy.

In his speech before the Iraqi University Council, he stated that the Ministry of Higher Education and it’s university institutions in which more than sixteen thousand contract employees perform their tasks entrusted to them and represent an actual need in universities and government institutes that deal with rising inputs from the reality of population growth.

He expressed the commitment of the Ministry of Higher Education to firmly and seriously deal with the file of higher degrees and first graduates under the contexts and legislation that allows state institutions to activate their job grades and enable different segments of graduates to get their jobs if appointments are launched.

He appreciated the effective engagement of the private universities and colleges, which rushed to provide possible job opportunities for degree holders and the positive endeavor to mitigate the effects of the current repercussions on this essential segment.
