Establishment of the Department of Biotechnology at the University of Samarra
A sustained effort and vigorous follow-up by the President of the University of Samarra, Prof. Dr. Sabah Allawi Khalaf, to establish important studies at Samarra University, the Department of Biotechnology, at the College of Applied Sciences
The Department of Biotechnology at the College of Applied Sciences, like other Iraqi and international universities, aims to make the scientific basic rules in the immediate and future time and to provide graduates and society, with knowledge and scientific qualifications in various fields to apply biotechnologies, keep up with scientific development and enrich it with scientific ideas and make sure to provide students with the required biotechnology skills that enable them to function effectively in an educational or professional context, such as higher education and industrial laboratories specializing in medicines and human medicine. It also emphasizes training graduates to manage laboratory activities and engage in effective scientific work as individuals and as members of society and improve students’ ability.
