The Minister of Education discusses with the Indian Ambassador the file of scholarships between Baghdad and New Delhi

 

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kathem Abdul Saheb met and discussed the file of scholarships with the Ambassador of the Republic of India in Baghdad, Mr. Birender Singh Yadav.

During the meeting, the Minister of Education, in the presence of the Director-General of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, Dr. Hazem Baqer Taher, affirmed the readiness of all Iraqi universities to cooperate, coordinate and develop scientific and cultural relations with Indian universities, where the Minister proposing the formation of a joint working group between the two countries on the mechanisms of mutual fellowships and scholarships programs.

He called for strengthening scientific communication contexts through research and study grants, facilitating their procedures and joint scientific publication in global containers, exchange of professors, joint supervision in various specializations, and cooperation in the fields of human medicine in particular, as well as life medicine engineering, mechatronic engineering, information and communication engineering, and rare specialties.

For his part, the ambassador welcomed the shared visions between the two sides, stressing that Iraq and India enjoy distinguished relations in many fields, especially economic and cultural ones, expressing his high appreciation for the presence of Iraqi students in Indian university institutions.
