The Minister of Higher Education directs the review and development of patent contexts about a project to authorize universities to administer admission to graduate studies

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb, has directed the formation of a committee to review and develop patent contexts, support creatives, and protect the intellectual property of inventors.

This review came when the minister chaired a meeting of the opinion committee at the Ministry of Integrated Science and Technology, where he directed the formation of a committee to study the legal contexts related to patents, review them, develop a contract formula on patent ownership, guarantee intellectual property rights for inventors, and raise a summary in this regard within a month.

In the context of discussing the study leave plan, the Minister of Higher Education revealed the ministry’s intention to go to the project to authorize universities to manage the file for admission to graduate studies in the coming years to achieve the independence of university institutions and to cancel the centralization of this issue.

The meeting discussed the scientific research plan and reviewed the numbers of completed research and the interest rate achieved by the institutions.

During the meeting, the Minister of Higher Education emphasized following up the departments, setting specific schedules for visits, completing archiving and electronic automation, and following up on projects by the Technical Affairs Department, stressing on overcoming financial and administrative challenges by employing human assets and staff according to a well-studied scientific vision through specialized committees.

He urged the Treatment and Destruction Department to complete and implement the work entrusted to them while appreciating the efforts of the Supervisor of the Atomic Energy Formations in implementing the fieldwork plan, coordination and cooperation with the concerned authorities to implement and fulfill the requirements of a safe environment within the context of community service.

The meeting concluded by emphasizing the importance of observing civil defense measures and dealing with the health awareness file by taking vaccines to confront the pandemic and providing protection and safe climates.
