The University of Samarra Council holds its seventh open session

 

The University of Samarra Council held its seventh open session, headed by Prof. Dr. Sabah Allawi Khalaf, on Sunday morning, 30/5/2021, in the presence of the assistants for scientific and administrative affairs, the deans of the colleges, and the Secretary of the University Council.
The council dealt with many aspects, where Allawi directed the members to follow up the in-person and electronic exams for the end of the first semester for students by the approved ministerial instructions for blended education and follow up on grade records for students of primary and higher studies.
The President also reviewed the scientific achievements and its entry to the classification of the Times and Green Matrix and striving to enter other international rankings and urged faculty to publish in international sites and international conferences, including the first international conference of the College of Applied Sciences.
Allawi directed the deans of the colleges, in coordination with the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed, to follow up on the subject of the government program and apply it appropriately. He also stressed the need to cooperate with the Civil Defense Division and to rationalize the consumption of electrical energy, and emphasize the need to install solar energy generation systems operating during the day.
The Council hosted Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hashem Ahmed, Chairman of the Academic Promotions Committee at the university, to discuss the record of the seventh session of the central university promotions, which included the recommendation to promote each of (Mahdi Abdel Hamid) and (Abbas Hadi Abbas) from assistant professors to professors.
The council discussed the memo of the College of Education session (11 and 12) and the memo of the College of Islamic Sciences (the ninth open), which includes the recommendation to approve the second extension requests for graduate students, and the memo of the College of Engineering (the eighth open), which includes a second postponement request for primary studies students.

At the end of the session, the President thanked the members for their continuous and tireless work serving our university.
