The University of Samarra – faculty from the College of Education publishes a paper in Scopus

Assistant Professor Dr. Liqaa Hussain Alwan, professor at the Department of Chemistry at the College of Education, in partnership with a team from Mosul and Baghdad Universities, published a paper entitled (Thermodynamic study of adsorption of a mixture of Nolvadex and nanoparticles ferric oxide that prepared on the surface of activated charcoal) in a high citscor Scopus journal.

The research included the preparation of Ferric Oxide Nanoparticles and then diagnosed by several techniques including (SEM, TEM, EDX) and the study aims to improve some of the physiological properties of Nolvadex used in the treatment of breast cancer by putting it on the surface of the nano-carbon prepared from plant sources with nanomaterial. Ferric Oxide, In addition to the thermodynamic study of the adsorption of the prepared mixture, the results showed that the equilibrium time was 40-50 min and the appropriate weight of the adsorbent is 0.1g.

Where the study was carried out at four different temperatures, 290.65-320.65K, and it was found that the Adsorption system is heat emitting, automatic, and has little randomness.
