The College of Education trains students in preparing plant samples through a training course

The College of Education at the University of Samarra organized a training course for students of the Department of Life Sciences on “Preparing Plant Samples for Microscopic Examination,” presented by Dr. Warkaa Faiz Tawfiq and Assistant Professor Hala Amer Abdul-Jabbar.

The course organizers aimed to train students in methods of selecting plant sample models and studying and examining the living components in the cell.

Preparing plant samples is considered an important topic in the study of life sciences, encompassing a series of steps and techniques, especially those used under the microscope, and preparing them for chemical and biological analysis.

The course presenters recommended the necessity of understanding the principles of preparing plant samples, in addition to focusing on the practical steps for preparing microscopic slides and understanding the techniques used to analyze plant tissues.

It is noteworthy that the study of plant sciences is part of the curriculum for students of the Department of Life Sciences, and its study is no less important than other subjects, especially in the practical and laboratory aspects.
