The Director of the Dormitories participates in the first periodic meeting of the directors of the Dormitories in public and private universities

Under the guidance of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority held the first periodic meeting of the directors of dormitories in public and private universities, headed by Prof. Salah Hadi Al-Fatlawi, head of the apparatus at the University of Baghdad, on Sunday, 21/6/2021.
The meeting was opened with a speech by the apparatus, who emphasized the importance of the dormitories in universities and the direct interest of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in this vital joint and explained that this periodic meeting is a new work context that the apparatus decided to start to listen directly from the specialists about the dormitories’ problems The Ministry of Interior and the development of solutions and recommendations to solve these problems with a scientific and applicable perspective.
Professor Prof. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, President of the University of Baghdad, welcomed the attendees at the university and thanked the apparatus for choosing the University of Baghdad to host the first periodic meeting of the directors of the dormitories. A detailed administration that deals with our students throughout the day, which requires wise decisions to solve the problems of the dormitories and a future view to accommodate the increasing numbers of students in each academic year. In the second axis, it touched on the need to rely on service and maintenance staff from within the dormitories and not rely on external cadres to pressure expenses Finance and because the staff of the dormitories is the ones who know the needs of the students.
Mr. Moaz Ahmed Hassan gave a speech at the meeting on behalf of the Directorate of dormitories at the University of Samarra and discussed with them many problems related to work, the most important of which is the problem of providing or renting buildings to receive the most considerable possible number of students from all governorates for overcoming the difficulties that students may face during the coming academic period.
Professor Dr. Hamed Shaker, director of the dormitories affairs department in the supervisory body, confirmed that the body will circulate a standard evaluation form to all universities to determine each university’s strengths and weaknesses to work on strengthening the strengths and addressing the weaknesses.
At the end of the session, the head of the apparatus praised this expanded meeting, which is one of the largest meetings at the level of the ministry, which brought together all public and private universities, and stressed that the next meeting will be at the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, a continuation of the open-doors approach to discussion between the management of the supervisory and scientific evaluation apparatus and the directors of departments.
