The President of the University of Samarra presents a study on the establishment of essential colleges and departments at the University of Samarra
The President of the University of Samarra, Prof. Dr. Sabah Allawi al-Samarrai, met with the Scientific Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. (Yassin al-Ithawi) and Director of the Studies, Planning and Follow-up Department in the Ministry (Ihab Naji), where Allawi obtained approval for the topic of establishing a group of colleges and scientific and humanitarian departments at the University of Samarra, including (College of Law, Department of Mathematics in the College of Education, Department of Translation in the College of Arts, Master’s study in the English Department, Master’s study in the Department of Architecture).
This accomplishment comes at a time when the Ministry was directed to stop developments in all Iraqi universities. With follow-up by the President, explaining the University’s requirements and society’s need for it, and explaining the importance of excluding newly developed universities because they need quality departments and colleges.
Therefore, the response came to propose the request with official records delivered to the departments of studies, planning, research, and development in the Ministry.
