During his meeting with the committee for fulfilling the requirements of QS, the president of the University of Samarra sets the principal axes of the committee’s work

The President of Samarra University, Prof. Dr. Sabah Allawi Al-Samarrai, met with the deans of the colleges and a number of the university’s professors and employees in the presence of his vice for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed.

The meeting aims to address critical and vital topics related to the scientific and academic side.

Al-Samarrai explained that this meeting came with the formation of a committee for fulfilling the requirements of the (QS classification) and communication between the presidency of the university and the above committee, which would participate in giving the researcher his right from a theoretical point of view, as well as standing on the obstacles facing the committee’s work and overcoming them by educational regulations.

The university president recommended the necessity of encouraging publication inside and outside Iraq and the work of a cooperation mechanism to select the scientific component and strengthen an external database.

He praised the active role of the Rehabilitation and Employment Division.

While Dr. Kamal Hussein, vice president of the university for scientific affairs, spoke that the presidency of the university is in constant contact with the university’s formations, in posing problems and obstacles and how to overcome them to advance the scientific reality of the university, and our meeting today is represented in the issue of QS requirements, where this committee was formed in several axes, including
Academic reputation
Employers’ reputation
The focus of scientific research
The axis of the percentage of professors (academic / number of students)
In addition to the rate of professors and international students, the translation committee, and data submission.

At the end of the meeting, the most critical problems and obstacles facing the committee’s work were reviewed. Common points were reached to overcome them, and the clarity of the ideas and proposals presented by the participants who enriched the meeting with their opinions, statements, and theses that reflect their abilities and their quest to speed up the completion of the work by the existing rules and regulations.
