A symposium in the College of Islamic Sciences discusses the causes and treatment of violence against women

 

The College of Islamic Sciences at Samarra University held a scientific symposium entitled “Violence against Women / Causes and Treatment” in Alma’refa Hall.

The symposium aims to discuss the manifestations of violence against women, its causes, and find ways to treat it and solutions, especially with the existence of statistics confirming this phenomenon in Iraqi society, according to the data of human rights institutions and organizations around the world.

At the end of the symposium delivered by the ladies, Dr. Sarah Abbas Faraj, assistant professor Hanan Khalil Ibrahim, assistant professor Iman Abdel Nassif, and Ms. Sarwa Madian Muhammad, some envisaged treatment methods for violence against women were presented, focusing on texts that urge love and affection and forbid injustice, violence, and coercion.
