The University of Samarra is making significant progress in the Iraqi rankings

 

The University of Samarra has ranked ahead of many Iraqi universities in the classification launched by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education for public and private educational institutions.
83 public and private universities competed for Samarra University to take 16th place among public universities and 19th place among Iraqi universities.
It is noteworthy that the specialists in the Ministry of Education have launched the Iraqi classification to evaluate the work of universities, colleges, and departments at the level of Iraq. They conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the universities. The assessment included criteria related to the institutional environment and academic programs.
1- Institutional performance evaluation criteria, which include quality and institutional accreditation 20%, international classifications 15%, effectiveness of scientific research 20%, community service 5%, resource maximization 10%, faculty members 10%, students 15%, and international diversity 5%.
2- Criteria for evaluating the performance of scientific departments, which include quality and program accreditation 35%, the effectiveness of scientific research 30%, faculty members 20%, and students 15%.
It is noted that the University of Samarra is ahead of prestigious universities such as Anbar, Kirkuk, Mosul, Maysan, and others. It has also outperformed many specialized universities such as Nineveh, Jaber Ibn Hayyan, North and Central Technology, and Information Technology.

On this occasion, the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Sabah Allawi, congratulated all members of the University for this remarkable progress, indicating that we are facing significant challenges to raise the level of the University to the desired ambition.
His Excellency indicated that the University would successively publish the sequences of colleges and scientific departments throughout Iraq.
It is reported that the number of competing colleges is 875 colleges
The competing scientific departments are 1,729 scientific departments
