A research team from Samarra University registers four strains in NCBI

 

A research team from Samarra University and Tikrit University has registered four new strains of sand fly with the World Life Information Organization NCBI.
These strains are taken from different regions in Salah al-Din Governorate.
It was distinguished from the previously discovered isolates recorded in the global gene bank.
These four strains were recorded under the numbers documented below:

OM 670255
OM 670254
OM 670253
The research team consisted of:
1- Prof. Dr. Hisham Naji Hamid (University of Samarra).
2- Assistant Professor Dr. Rafea Zeidan Mikhlif (University of Tikrit).
3- Master’s student Alaa Khaled Abdullah.
(University of Samarra).
The discovery was made in cooperation with (Wahj Al-Dana Company for Training, Rehabilitation, and Services); To facilitate the procedures of the practice team and the completion of its discovery.
