Professors at the University of Samarra begin training on the Real-Time PCR

The College of Applied Sciences at Samarra University has started training the faculty members on the Real-Time PCR device, one of the most critical devices in molecular biology.

The college formed a scientific committee composed of:
⁃ Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Rahim Khalaf.
⁃ Assistant Professor Dr. Marwan Qahtan Jassem.
⁃ Dr. Hanan Walid Muhammad, to supervise the completion of the training task, the device performs a laboratory technique based on the principle of polymerase chain reaction, in addition to estimating the amount of DNA replication during the reaction, and is used to assess gene expression.
This device provides many benefits in most fields and branches of life sciences, as well as its diagnostic uses in detecting new strains, such as its ability to diagnose new songs of Covid 19.
In addition to a range of microbiological uses, it contributes to the detection of pathogens and genetically modified organisms.
