The Presidency of Samarra University provides the Engineering College with a 600KN Tensile Test device, the second of its kind in the Governorate
The Presidency of Samarra University, College of Engineering has equipped the 600KN Tensile Test device, Which is considered one of the essential devices in measuring the tests of undergraduate and graduate students. The college has lacked from its establishment until today, as well as its remarkable ability to measure nearly 600 newtons.
The device clarifies the metal’s behavior under the influence of the axial tensile load during the determination of the mechanical properties. In addition to laboratory function in the construction projects to be built for state departments and the private sector by determining the properties of rebar and electric poles, especially that the diameter of the rebar that can be tested reaches up to 32 mm, thus making this device the second of its kind in Salah al-Din Governorate.
This equipment comes within the keenness of the Presidency of the University of Samarra, represented by Prof. Dr. Sabah Allawi Al-Samarrai – President of the University – and the administrative staff with him, and their efforts to develop the knowledge and laboratory aspect and support it with the parallel application aspect. This comes from the theoretical element of importance in increasing the knowledge of students at the University of Samarra and raising their level of laboratory efficiency.
