Exploring Agricultural Practices: Agriculture College Students Visit Agricultural Extension and Training Department in Salah al-Din Governorate

Samarra University’s Agriculture College recently organized a scientific visit to the Balad Extension Farm of the Agricultural Extension and Training Department in Salah al-Din Governorate. Led by experienced professors, the visit aimed to familiarize students with the latest agricultural practices and techniques used in the region.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity for students to learn about the hybrid eggplant variety (Nasr) and its cultivation process, as well as other agricultural operations conducted around it. The students were also introduced to drip irrigation systems, techniques for removing bushes, and strategies for overcoming potential product-related challenges.

By exposing students to practical applications of their academic studies, this visit enabled them to gain a deeper understanding of the principles and practices of agriculture. The students also had the opportunity to interact with experts in the field and ask questions about their experiences and techniques.

The Agriculture College at Samarra University is committed to providing its students with diverse and enriching learning opportunities that equip them with the skills and knowledge required to excel in their future careers. The scientific visit to the Balad Extension Farm is just one example of the many initiatives taken by the college to support the academic and professional development of its students.

We are proud of our students for their active participation in this scientific visit and commend our faculty for their dedication and commitment to providing quality education and training in the field of agriculture.
