ollege of Engineering Enhances International Scientific Presence with a Textbook on \\\\\\\”Engineering of Nanomaterials\\\\\\\” in Collaboration with Al-Bayan University
Professor Dr. Riyadh Azzawi Badr, a faculty member in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the University of Samarra, has published a modern scientific textbook titled “Engineering of Nanomaterials,” in collaboration with Professor Dr. Yarub Al-Douri from Al-Bayan University in Baghdad.
The book comprises ten detailed chapters spanning three hundred and thirty-three (333) pages, providing a comprehensive and in-depth vision of the development of nanomaterials and their diverse applications in materials engineering, life sciences, and chemical catalysis.
In the book, the authors review innovative technical solutions for modifying the mechanical, electrical, and optical properties of materials. This opens broad horizons for their use in vital fields such as green chemistry, biosensors, advanced medical devices, tissue engineering, and structural materials, as well as applications in sustainable agriculture and food engineering.
Furthermore, the book pays special attention to Carbon Nanomaterials (CNMs) and their pivotal role in environmental and biological sciences. The scientific content is reinforced with integrated educational tools, including practical problems, solved examples, and structured methodologies for designing materials according to specific technical needs, making it an indispensable strategic reference for students and researchers in engineering and scientific disciplines.
This qualitative publication is the fruit of rigorous research collaboration and was published by the prestigious international publishing house “Springer Nature,” which stands at the pinnacle of scientific publishing worldwide. This reflects the high academic value and advanced research level attained by Iraqi researchers in international forums.
In this regard, the Deanship of the College of Engineering—represented by the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Amjed Saleh Mahmood —congratulates Professor Dr. Riyadh Azzawi on this distinguished contribution, praising his efforts that contribute to raising the university’s standing in global rankings and serving the path of rigorous scientific research.
