The College of Education for Humanities Holds Its First Session of the College Council

The College of Education for Humanities at the University of Samarra held its first session of the College Council, chaired by the Acting Dean, Professor Dr. Sabah Alawi Khalaf, President of the University by proxy, and attended by Professor Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, in addition to the Administrative and Scientific Vice Deans and the Heads of the academic departments.
The meeting opened with a review of the college’s strategic plans for the current academic year, emphasizing the implementation of qualitative achievements and scientific activities that motivate students toward research and knowledge, as well as activating innovative educational programs that enhance academic and research efficiency and increase students’ engagement in the educational process.
The Council’s agenda included directing the college to complete its institutional projects and accelerate the steps required to qualify for inclusion in the QS World University Rankings. This would enhance the standing of the University of Samarra at both regional and international levels and open opportunities for academic and research cooperation with global educational institutions.
The meeting also discussed preparations to host prominent academic and scientific figures, with the aim of exchanging expertise, developing educational programs, and encouraging faculty members to increase their scientific output in line with international quality standards.
The meeting concluded with Dr. Khalaf emphasizing the importance of following up on the implementation of approved decisions, working to develop an integrated educational and research environment that supports academic and research excellence, and investing in the college’s and university’s previous achievements to strengthen their scientific standing. He also stressed the effective utilization of human and material resources to achieve the institution’s strategic goals.
