The College of Agriculture Holds a Training Course on Enhancing Therapeutic Value and Pretreatment Strategies

The College of Agriculture at Samarra University held a training course entitled “Enhancing Therapeutic Value and Pretreatment Strategies for Preserving Active Compounds.” The course took place from January 5th to 13th, with the participation of several faculty members and those interested in agricultural and food-related matters.

The course aimed to highlight modern methods in the pretreatment of plant products and the importance of preserving active compounds with therapeutic value, given their significant role in enhancing the nutritional and medicinal quality of agricultural products, as well as increasing their utilization efficiency and reducing waste.

The course included a scientific explanation of the mechanisms for preserving active ingredients during drying, storage, and processing, in addition to demonstrating the impact of these procedures on improving the therapeutic value of medicinal and aromatic plants.

At the conclusion of the course, the importance of holding such training programs was emphasized, given their active role in developing scientific and practical skills and raising awareness of the importance of modern technologies in the agricultural and health sectors.
