Applied Chemistry Organizes a Workshop on Turner Syndrome and Prevention Methods
The Department of Applied Chemistry at the College of Applied Sciences, University of Samarra, organized a workshop entitled “Turner Syndrome: Symptoms and Prevention Methods,” presented by Assistant Lecturer Amira Abdulmunim Yassin.
The workshop lecture aimed to introduce Turner syndrome, its genetic causes, and clinical characteristics, in addition to explaining the most prominent physical and visceral symptoms and the methods of detecting them. It also highlighted the importance of early diagnosis and its role in improving quality of life.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Abdulmunim presented several important recommendations, most notably the necessity of conducting early genetic and medical examinations when the condition is suspected, as well as adhering to regular medical follow-up, especially with regard to the heart, kidneys, hearing, and vision.
