The College of Administration and Economics Organizes a Workshop Entitled “Human Rights in the Workplace”
The Human Rights Unit at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Samarra, organized a workshop entitled “Human Rights in the Workplace” on Thursday, January 29, 2026, under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdulsalam Ahmed. The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Sara Latif Turki and Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Abdulaziz Maryamesh.
The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of human rights in the workplace, highlight the fundamental rights of workers, and emphasize the importance of justice, equality, and providing a safe working environment. It also addressed the impact of respecting these rights on enhancing productivity and achieving job stability.
At the conclusion of the workshop, several recommendations were put forward, including the necessity of adhering to labor laws, preventing discrimination and harassment, promoting a culture of respect for human rights, providing clear channels for complaints, and encouraging training and awareness regarding the rights and duties of employees.
